Flyers fans, it’s here. The Big Day™. The day we have been building toward since we collectively realized that the Flyers were going to stink again last season.
Tonight, in Nashville, Danny Briere and the Philadelphia Flyers organization will be (for now, anyway) making the seventh and 22nd overall picks in one of the most highly-touted drafts in over a decade.
We know the Connor Bedard pick is set, and we think we know what two and three will look like, but between three and seven? A whole lot of things could happen and there is no real clear picture of just who will be available for the Flyers when they take the podium for that seventh pick. Between that uncertainty and the fact that we know GMDB will be working the phones hard on the draft floor? Could be a very, very fun evening for us all.
The draft begins at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN and ESPN+ here in the states, and Sportsnet and TVAS up in Canada.
