Make it three Olympians so far for the Flyers. Jakub Voracek was named to Team Czech Republic on Monday, joining fellow Flyers Michael Raffl (Austria) and Mark Streit (Switzerland) on rosters that will compete in Sochi next month.
Voracek will again have a chance to play with Jaromir Jagr, his boyhood idol, during his first Olympic experience. Jagr was named to the Czech team for the fifth time in his career. Former Flyers Petr Nedved and Lukas Krajicek are also on the Czech team, as is goalie Jakub Kovar, to whom the Flyers still hold rights.

Nedved is the biggest question mark. He’s 42 years old and hasn’t played in the NHL since the 2006-07 season. But more interestingly, he hasn’t made the Czech Olympic team, well, ever. He appeared in the 1994 Winter Olympics and won a silver medal … with Canada. He’s since competed with the Czechs in the 1996 World Cup of Hockey and the 2012 IIHF World Championships.
Voracek has pulled on his national colors seven times — twice at the World U18 tournament, twice at the World Junior Championship, and three times at the IIHF World Championships.
