Jarome Iginla won’t be heading to the All-Star Game in Raleigh next week due to family issues, according to TSN’s Darren Dreger, and the Canadian news outlet is reporting that his replacement will be Flyers forward Danny Briere.
Many of us bitched last week when Briere, the leading scorer on the East’s best team, was snubbed by the league. As it turns out, he’ll get to make the trip anyway.
A lot of fans seem to be of the opinion that Briere shouldn’t accept this “pity invite,” but according to Tim Panaccio on Twitter, Danny’s kids want to see him in the game. Hard to argue with that.
