Thursday Morning Fly By: This is an Everett Silvertips blog now

*There is absolutely nothing going on with the Philadelphia Flyers right now but guess what? Future Flyer Carter Hart is off to win himself a WHL Championship. Go team. [Flyers]

*Okay I guess there’s a couple of things going on with the actual Flyers. Some of them are off to play in the Worlds, which starts this weekend. Meltzer has some info on that and a few more interesting nuggs. [Hockeybuzz]

*Speaking of the Worlds, will you be watching? More than a few very excellent NHLers will be playing for their respective countries. [ProHockeyTalk]

*Anyhoo back to the Flyers. The end-of-year grading continues and for the defense and goaltending, it was mostly good in the regular season and then mostly bad in the playoffs. [Philly.com]

*Ivan Provorov continues to get attention from around the hockey world, this time from the Minnesota Wild fans who think he’s due for a breakout season next year. [Hockey Wilderness]

*So remember that Swedish kid who was pissed off about losing the gold medal game at the World Junior tournament? Like a normal human might be? They’ve suspended him, and some of he teammates, and coaching staff. Seems a little bit much. [ProHockeyTalk]

*And finally, you may have heard, but Tom Wilson is back on his bullshit in the Caps-Pens series. He’s a dirty player by nature, but if you want to stop guys like him there’s really only one way. [The Hockey News]
