Thursday Morning Fly By: They did (practically) nothing. And nothing is good.

*They also made a few depth signings but those don’t count as a thing. [Flyers]

*They MIGHT not be finished, though. They’re reportedly in on Patrick Sharp. [BSH]

*The biggest thing that happened yesterday? The Maple Leafs were a bunch of dumb jerks and traded the wonderful and talented Phil Kessel to the worst team in the whole entire league. [Pension Plan Puppets]

*Let’s take a look at all of the winners and losers the came out of that blockbuster deal. [Puck Daddy]

*If you’d like a full rundown of all of the free agency moves thus far, we’ve got you covered. [SB Nation]

*This is a really great interview with a Flyers’ scout on the team’s drafting strategy. Really good stuff. [McKeen’s Hockey]

*One thing we, as fans, don’t think a lot about is the tax implications that come with signing a big new contract in a new city. [TSN]

*In light of the (alleged) Mike Richards situation, on painkillers and double standards in sports. [PPP]

*And finally, a look at addiction directly from a player affected by it. [The Players’ Tribune]
