Thursday Morning Fly By: Officially under a month

*We are officially less than one month from the start of hockey and to celebrate, there are no dang links worth sharing. So let’s take a moment to laugh at the idea that someone is giving Zac Rinaldo a shot in the year 2019.

*Chuck made some additions to the front office yesterday, bulking out the analytics team. That can’t be a bad thing. [Flyers]

*We are in the top three of our 25U25 rankings, and holding strong at third is arguably the Flyers’ best defenseman, Travis Sanheim. He has a contract, too. [BSH]

*Speaking of that contract and his outstanding play, Dave Isaac spoke with Travis about what he hopes to accomplish this season. [Courier-Post]

*The chips are (sort of) starting to fall in the RFA market, with another forward that is pretty comparable to Travis Konecny signing in LA. [LA Kings]

*If you find all of this CBA stuff a little confusing, this piece by our old pal Frank Seravalli does well to break everything down and explain where we are. [TSN]

*On quantifying passes on the power play. [Hockey Graphs]

*And finally, with much being made of Carter Hart’s work with a sports psychologist, and the apparent benefits that have come from it, BSH Radio’s Bill Matz sat down with one of these performance specialists to get a look at how they work their magic on guys like Hart. [BSH]
