The View From Montreal

Broad Street Hockey has arrived at the NHL Draft in Montreal and is ready for the real fun to start tomorrow afternoon. We’ll be reporting from the Bell Centre beginning in the mid-afternoon, but before that, Thursday night was an eventful night around town. Frank at Pensburgh has a pretty detailed account of our evening, which included a bit of schmoozing at the NHL media reception, a run in with Atlanta Thrashers general manager Don Waddell at an Italian restaurant, and a lot of rain.

Tomorrow, our coverage will start around 2 to 3 PM ET, complete with a live thread that will be posted on the top of the site all day long. My Twitter feed, which will be the main source of updates, will be posted in the thread so you can keep up with the news all day long. Any news that is posted to the site will be linked to in the open thread, meaning you only have to keep one page open all day long to keep track of the draft coverage.

If you have any requests for things you’d like to see or questions you’d like to be asked, contact me via e-mail, post them in the open thread, or direct message on Twitter.
