After last night in Anaheim, the Flyers have surrendered more shorthanded goals against than any other team in the league. The franchise record for SH goals against stands at 16, recorded way back in the 1990-91 season.
The Flyers have one of the better power plays in the league (39 goals, good for sixth in the league) and special teams have been the highlight of what has been a pretty bleak season so far, but they’ll need to get better at the blue line if they want to avoid having these soul-crushing shorties scored on them.
