Sweet revenge: Flyers announce ticket giveaway promotion, get slammed on Facebook

Facebook commenters are, generally speaking, the scum of the Earth. I would argue that they’re even worse than YouTube commenters at times, and man, that’s saying something. But the Facebook commentariat came up big this afternoon when Comcast-Spectacor and the Wells Fargo Center announced a fancy new promotion.

You can win tickets to every single event at the Wells Fargo Center in 2013!

Sixers games! Wings games! Soul games! Disney On Ice! Concerts!

… oh, and Flyers games I guess.

The Flyers shared the promotion on their Facebook page, and the response did not disappoint.

And the obligatory “the sixers suck,” of course. Don’t worry, Sixers. Some of us do love you.

It goes on like this for quite a while. 50 comments and counting, not a single one positive (except maybe for the spam comments).

This is actually a pretty cool promotion and chances are we might not miss a single one of those 2013 Flyers games, but that may as well just semantics at this point. It’s the little things that will get us through this lockout, like getting revenge on the NHL establishment through Facebook comments.
