The Lehigh Valley Phantoms were back on the ice against the Penguins after a disappointing loss to begin their season. Alex Lyon got the start in net and was solid making 18 saves on 19 shots.
The Phantoms were led by great performances from German Rubtsov, Isaac Ratcliffe, Joel Farabee, and Phil Myers. Rubtsov collected two assists on the evening and was very visible on both ends of the ice.
Joel Farabee had the highlight of the night with a beauty of a move and finish on his second-period goal off an incredible stretch pass from Phil Myers. Mikhail Vorobyev and Kurtis Gabriel lit the lamp for the Phantoms en route to a 4-1 victory in front of a solid crowd at the PPL Center.
They return to action on Saturday evening as they host the Hershey Bears in a divisional matchup.
