Ryan White makes it 1-0 in must-win Game 5 for the Flyers

A lot of games are called “must-wins”, but that isn’t necessarily the case for all of them. It would be nice to win them, sure – but are they really must-wins?

For the Philadelphia Flyers, yes. They don’t win, and their season is over. It doesn’t get much more crucial than that.

So the Flyers gotta score goals. Lately, it’s been just their defensemen scoring – and hey, not to complain as long as they’re getting goals, but more players through the lineup have to step it up.

Enter… Ryan White? Enter Ryan White, as the Flyers fourth liner scored his second career playoff goal.

Okay, so it definitely wasn’t a sniper’s goal. Coming in just three seconds after the Flyers’ power play expired, White’s shot was going wide – at least until Taylor Chorney got in the way and sent it past Braden Holtby into a wide open net.

But they all count the same, and right now, the Flyers ain’t counting.
