Happy National Bobblehead Day, everybody! Today, January 7, 2016, marks the first-ever National Bobblehead Day, a celebration of some of the best collectibles around – particularly in the sporting world, where they frequent as special giveaways.
And the Philadelphia Flyers have three this year: Claude Giroux, Jakub Voracek, and Wayne Simmonds. It’s the latter two that the Players’ Tribune chose to use to celebrate the first-ever National Bobblehead Day, recreating a real-life scenario with their bobbly counterparts: a goal, and a celly.

Don’t think Voracek is going to score too many goals in real life with his stick that way, but hey, whatever works for his bobblehead self, right? Simmonds’ celebration is definitely on point, though.
Here’s to a lot more of that, albeit in real life with their normal-headed counterparts, through 2016 and beyond!
