The Philadelphia Flyers were back at home looking to keep pace in the wildcard race with another test against the Washington Capitals. It was all Washington early on, getting out to an early 2-0 lead over Carter Hart, who returned from injury.
James van Riemsdyk and Scott Laughton tried to get the Flyers back into it with goals of their own, but Washington was just too much. They added three more goals to take this one by a 5-2 margin. The Flyers head to Toronto to take on the Maple Leafs on Friday.
