Penguins assistant GM on his team’s whining: ‘We have to be better. There’s no question.’

Penguins assistant general manager Bill Guerin was on Sportsnet’s Hockey Central At Noon on Thursday, and …. hahahahahaha.

Here’s the talk between Guerin and host Doug MacLean:

DM: Billy, I’ve whined at the odd referee in my career. I’ve yelled at the odd referee in my career. I’ve been pissed off at them at times. But you’ve been around the block a few times and Tommy Fitz and Jimmy and the whole group. But your team whines quite a bit. Do you ever say, Mike, what’s going on with our group or Tocc, what’s going on with our group? Because it’s hurt you at times in key situations and I think it’s hurt you at playoff time.

BG: Yeah, you know, it’s definitely an area that we’ve identified as being an issue at times. And you know what? We’ve put ourselves in that position and we have to be better. There’s no question.

The referees are out there. They do a fantastic job. The game’s faster than ever and it’s really hard to pick things up sometimes with just the naked eye. These guys are human beings too and they’re out there doing a tough job and all eyes are on them.

We just have to flat out be better. You know what? We just have to be better. And that’s it. There’s nothing more I can say about it. We just have to be better.

hahahaha. Here’s the video if you wanna watch:
