Of course they’ve won six straight, why wouldn’t they?

Wins in six straight games and seven of their last eight.

Of freaking course.

Just when we started to think we had a realistic shot at Jack Hughes or Kaapo Kakko, the Flyers start winning. Whatever we want them to do, they do the opposite. We even called a win streak like this one the “worst-case scenario” on an episode of BSH Radio recently.

But since this mid-season resurgence is being lead by youngsters like Oskar Lindblom (goal against Boston; five points in last five games), Travis Sanheim (OT game-winning goal, assist, 23:53 TOI against Boston), and Franchise Savior Carter Hart (stopped 23 of 25 against Boston; has won five straight starts), it’s hard to complain too much.

These were a few of the guys we were hoping would lead the team to extended periods of good play in the beginning of the season, and as the dock-supervising Cheech Marin said in Ghostbusters II, “well, better late than never.”
