Bovada, the Vegas oddsmaker, says that Craig Berube is the third-most likely coach to get fired this season.
The Flyers head coach has 4/1 odds at being the first coach to be fired in the NHL, trailing only Toronto’s Randy Carlyle (5/2 odds) and Islanders coach Jack Capuano (3/1). Kind of silly since Berube’s chances of being fired this season feel like next-to-zero, but whatever.
Other odds, all via Bovada, put the Flyers’ chances at winning the Stanley Cup this season at 33/1, which are longer than the 28/1 odds they offered on September 2. Those odds are equal with division rivals Columbus and Washington, and well shorter of New Jersey (50/1), the Islanders (66/1) and Hurricanes (100/1). They’re longer than Pittsburgh (12/1) and the Rangers (20/1), though, and 12 other NHL teams.
The Flyers have 35/1 odds to win the President’s Trophy.
