Monday Morning Fly By: Wow the NHL is cancelling the playoffs this year. Bold move.

* The Flyers got eliminated from playoff contention last night, to the surprise of very few. Made it interesting at the end there though didn’t they! Here’s a recap.

* This after the shocking scene from Saturday night in which Michal Neuvirth left the game against the Devils after collapsing in his crease: [BSH] (Neuvirth has been released from the hospital, though, which is great news.)

* From that game on Saturday, Devils defenseman Dalton Prout will have a hearing for his extremely uncalled-for late hit on Radko Gudas in the second period: [NBC Sports]

* The Phantoms got out to a rough start to the weekend, with losses on Friday and Saturday, but they bounced back with a crucial win over Hershey on Sunday that keeps them in the drivers’ seat for second place in their division: [Highland Park Hockey]
