Monday Morning Fly By…e week begins now

*Well folks, it’s break time. And the Flyers are heading into the bye on a high note after a very excellent weekend of hockey. Saturday, they scored a lot of goals against the very good St. Louis Blues. We’ve got a recap if you missed the action, and some observations from what turned out to be a very fun hockey game.

*Then, on Sunday afternoon, the Flyers took it to the very bad Buffalo Sabres, which was very satisfying to watch. Recap!

*These two games were Tyrell Goulbourne’s first in the NHL, and in his limited time on the ice the kid looked pretty good. Good for him. [NBC Sports Philly]

*In other big weekend news, our lord and savior Carter Hart is now a gold medalist! Team Canada defeated Team Sweden to take the Gold at the World Junior Championship in what was a very exciting game in which Hart had to be very good. It was awesome. [Habs Eyes On The Prize]

*To round out the winners, Team USA took home the bronze by defeating the Czech Republic. [ProHockeyTalk]
