Kris Versteeg has been traded from the Flyers to the Panthers for a second round pick in either 2012 or 2013 and San Jose’s third round pick in 2012. For the record, the Flyers traded a first rounder and a third rounder for him at the deadline. Just saying.
We were wondering where the Flyers would get the room to sign Wayne Simmonds, who we haven’t heard a peep about on this July 1. This is where the money will come from, as we expect Simmonds to get about $1.8 million per year on his contract with the Flyers.
