When the Philadelphia Flyers drafted Samuel Morin 11th overall in 2013, he was coming off of a four goal, 16 point season over 46 games for Rimouski Oceanic in the QMJHL. He also had 117 penalty minutes, and then-listed as 6’6 and 202 lbs., it was obvious what his player projection looked like: very big, very physical, and probably not a big scorer.
We’re now 19 games into Morin’s first professional season, and he’s starting to to perk up. On Nov. 22, he scored his first professional goal:
And then, just last night, he got into a pretty big fight…
