I’ve always liked the idea of the Fan Confidence Polls that I’ve seen at various other sites around the web, and with the season just around the corner, I thought it would be a great time to start something similar here at Broad Street Hockey. If you’ve never seen such a feature, it’s a poll of how confident fans are in the current direction of the Philadelphia Flyers.
Once a week, on Monday morning, we’ll throw up a poll. You vote, on a scale of 0 percent to 100 percent, how confident you are in the current direction of the organization as a whole. That means that you’re taking into account the team’s on-ice performance, management and coaching decisions, and the overall status of prospects and the farm system. The poll will stay open for 24 hours, with the results being posted every Tuesday morning. We’ll take an average of all the votes to determine the total percentage of confidence fans have in the team. The results will be displayed on the right sidebar via a graph featuring results from previous weeks.
