The Philadelphia Flyers dropped a preseason game at the Wells Fargo Center to what amounted to the Boston Bruins B-team, but results aren’t all that important this time of year.
However, what was concerning was Brian Elliott continuing not to look 100%, Philippe Myers turning the puck over leading to a goal, which could mean the end of his push to make the opening night roster, and Dale Weise actually playing a strong game, potentially killing the dream of his AHL demotion, opening a roster spot for a younger player.
Bill talks about the game, but spends most of the night focusing on Carter Hart’s future, and the debut of Gritty, the first mascot to represent the orange and black since Slapshot in 1976.
