After coming out firing against Detroit on Tuesday but falling flat in the third period on the way to a loss, the Flyers look to regain their winning ways tonight against a team they have absolutely owned this season. It’ll be the fourth and final meeting between the Sabres and Philadelphia this season, and the Flyers have enjoyed a lot of success in the prior three games, going 3-0 and outscoring the Sabres 14-5.

That success has to continue tonight. The Sabres are in desperate need of victories, though, so that may be tough. They sit in tenth place and have lost four of their last five. For the Buffalo reaction to their ever shrinking playoff hopes, check out Die By The Blade.

Between the Pipes: Martin Biron will go tonight after throwing together a 48 save effort against Detroit on Tuesday. His stellar performance was the only reason the Flyers were in the game during the final period, and he has certainly earned the job for tonight. He has a 1.67 GAA against the Sabres in three games this year.

For Buffalo, we’ll see Patrick Lalime in net. He was pulled from the last game between these two teams back on March 10 after allowing four goals on 29 shots in 46 minutes.
