Friday Morning Fly By: Everybody wins!

*Everyone have a fun time yesterday? Seemed like the City put on a wonderful party. Also, there was a hockey game! RECAP!

*It’s starting to look like, thanks to the poor performance of other Metro teams, that a clear path to the playoffs might actually exist for the Flyers. That’s wild. [Courier-Post]

*Two players that will be integral if the Flyers are really going to make a push are Travis Konecny and Nolan Patrick, who are roomies on the road and building a fast bond that is showing on the ice. [NBC Sports Philly]

*The Boston Bruins are on fire right now and their winning ways have plopped Patrice Bergeron firmly into the MVP discussion. To which I say, YES! Bergeron is the MVP! Give the Selke to someone else! [ProHockeyTalk]

*As we get closer to the trade deadline, several NHL GMs are going to start to feel a lot of pressure to make some moves to improve their teams. DGB has the Ron-less list of those guys on the hottest seats. [Sportsnet]

*And finally it’s Olympics day!! Are you excited at all? Sure there are no NHLers but I’m willing to bet we still get a very, very good hockey tournament out of these games. [Yahoo Sports]
