Friday Morning Fly By: Carter Hart is stealing games and stealing hearts

*The Flyers beat the Predators 2-1 last night thanks in-part to a 31-save performance from none other than *ahem* CARTER HART DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO; RECAP!

*Look, things are extremely fun right now, but boy were the last couple of weeks complete chaos. Our pal Charlie on how Hakstol’s firing went down, and Fletcher’s new task of having to prove to people on the outside that this organization isn’t actually on fire at the moment. [The Athletic]

*Thanks to upper management hitting the reset button, there’s a sense of relief to be felt in both the Wells Fargo Center and across social media platforms. There’s finally some light at the end of the tunnel. [BSH]

*Speaking of a reset button, Dave Isaac on how Nolan Patrick and Shayne Gostisbehere, among others, are working with a clean slate moving forward. We all could use a clean slate right about now. [Courier Post]

*Carter Hart looked great in his NHL debut, but how did he play? How his debut stacks up against other Philadelphia netminders in their first appearances. [BSH]

*It’s a Flyers-heavy edition of Elliotte Friedman’s 31 Thoughts, and the most interesting tidbit — to me anyway — is that Ron Hextall already has interest from other teams. It might not be all that surprising, but it’s certainly of note. [Sportsnet]

*Finally, we have some podcasts for your Friday commute. First, a new episode of Ice Sport Radio where the gang talks about the best goalscorer in league history, the lack of offer sheets, and asks the question; what are you doing, the Metropolitan Division? [BSH]

*And in this week’s edition of Flyperbole they discuss the new guys, Scott “Flash” Gordon and Carter “he’s our baby!” Hart, the goalie situation moving forward, and also touch on Radel up-and-Fazleaving the organization. [BSH]
