The Adirondack Phantoms start training camp on Monday. They need players in order to have that camp, logically. Today, the Flyers began the process of giving them some players.
According to Bob McKenzie of TSN, the Flyers placed goaltenders Johan Backlund and Jason Bacashihua on waivers today. Veteran defenseman Dan Jancevski joins them, as do forwards Jon Kalinski and Stefan Legein. So… that’s a start. We’d expect all five to clear waivers and report to Adirondack.
We’re also expected the next round of cuts to come either today or tomorrow, so that’ll add to the Phantoms camp roster quite a bit. And of course, it’ll be interesting to see exactly who stays in Philly…
