Flyers vs. Capitals: Preview, lineups, game time, TV coverage and how to watch online

The Flyers have lost three straight games, and heading into the 2016 All-Star Break on a four-game losing streak would be pretty terrible. Luckily, their opponent on Wednesday night, the final game before that break is … oh, the best team in hockey? Well, crap.

The Washington Capitals are really, really good … leading the Eastern Conference buy a whopping ten points with three games in hand. They’re one of the league’s deepest teams up front, solid enough to get the job done on defense, strong on special teams and elite in goal. They’ve only lost four games at home all season, going 18-3-1 at Verizon Center so far.

So this is going to be a tough one for the Flyers, to say the least. They’re still without second-line center Sean Couturier, who will probably be back after the All-Star Break but is still dealing with a lower-body injury, according to the team. Steve Mason is out with what seems to be a minor lower-body injury, and Jason LaBarbera is on his way from Allentown to serve as emergency backup tonight.

The Caps have Mike Richards in their lineup tonight, and like … who gives a shit? That’s the last time we’ll mention it unless he does something insane in the game. Braden Holtby gets the start in goal for Washington.

Here are the lineups.
