Even strength play saw the Flyers beat up on the Blackhawks while each power play generated two chances. The Flyers did a great job at even strength considering the opponent.

A fantastic night by the second line set the pace for the rest of the team. The bottom six had a solid night as well.

The top line passed the eye test most of the night, but it was an interesting choice by Berube to continue to go with Giroux against Toews. Couturier and company dominated Brad Richards‘ line.

Carlo Colaiacovo had another outstanding game. Nicklas Grossmann followed right behind him.

  • Set Up – The primary pass on a scoring chance, including rebounds.
  • Chance – The primary shot on a scoring chance, including deflections.
  • Involved – The sum of both set ups and chances.

Giroux, Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and Sean Couturier each led their lines in a three-headed attack with three chances each. Giroux even scored! Michael Raffl hasn’t missed a beat all year and was right up there with Claude. Matt Read looked great, as did the rest of that line. Colaiacovo needs to be extended, like now.
