The Philadelphia Flyers and fans received the disappointing news this afternoon that prospect Wade Allison has suffered a season-ending lower-body injury. He will miss the final 12 games for the regular season for WMU. He had left WMU’s January 13th game against St. Cloud State early with an undisclosed lower-body injury.
Due to a lower body injury, Wade Allison will be out of for the remainder of the 2017-18 season.

Allison had been making waves in collegiate hockey this season with 15 goals and 15 assists in 22 games. His 30 points are tied for 6th in NCAA scoring, just 5 points off the league-lead. Allison is also just 4 days removed from being officially announced as a Hobey Baker Award 2018 nominee (along with fellow Flyer prospects Cooper Marody and Tanner Laczynski). One has to think this might also affect his plans to go pro following the season. The situation will likely be more clear when we learn the actual damage sustained.
