Flyers prospect Terrance Amorosa commits to Providence College

According to a report from SB Nation College Hockey, 2013 Flyers draft pick Terrance Amorosa has committed to Providence College. He’ll play one season in the USHL with the Sioux City Musketeers before beginning his freshman season with the Friars in 2014-15.

Amorosa has played the last two seasons with Holderness Prep in New Hamsphire. The defenseman was selected by the Flyers in the fifth round with the 132nd overall pick. He weighs in at 6’1, 185 pounds.

Jeff Cox at SBN College Hockey calls the Friars “a program on the rise.” They finished fourth in Hockey East last season with a 13-8-6 conference record. College Hockey News previously reported that Amorosa was committed to the University of New Hampshire, but then retracted that report.
