Flyers fall to Devils, 3-2 in preseason action

A mix of Internet problems and not knowing the game was being streamed led to most of us staff here at BSH missing the game (or at least most of it). Fortunately, a lot of us did catch the game, however, via stream on the Flyers website, so there are people here who know what happened.

So, for the first time ever in BSH history, we’re going to have a recap by committee. Leave your thoughts on the game in the comments and in the morning, we’re going to update the body of this post with those thoughts.

For now, you can catch a very generic (and very short) recap of the proceedings via our SB Nation partners at Sports Network.

Newark, NJ (Sports Network) – Travis Zajac and Ilya Kovalchuk scored third- period goals to lift New Jersey over Philadelphia, 3-2, in preseason action from Prudential Center.

Adam Mair also tallied and David Clarkson picked up two assists for the Devils, who got 26 saves from Martin Brodeur for the win.

Jeff Carter and Nikolai Zherdev lit the lamp for the Flyers, who played their first non-shootout contest of their exhibition slate.

Brian Boucher allowed all three goals on 28 shots in defeat.
