Eric Wellwood won’t get to hit the links at one of the gems of golf this week. While the Flyers are down in Pinehurst, NC over the next few days bonding and hitting the links, Wellwood will be on a plane (or, more likely, a bus or a car) as he prepares to take his talents back to cold, snowy Glens Falls, NY.
He’ll be rejoining the Adirondack Phantoms, who have lost nine straight games. Poor guy. Maybe he’ll be able to give them some much needed offense, although it certainly seems like the problems in the Flyers farm system go far beyond what just one player can fix.
