Don’t call it a comeback

The Philadelphia Flyers’ good players overcame head coach Dave Hakstol’s reliance on bad players to erase a two-goal deficit in the third period to force overtime against Sergei Bobrovsky’s Columbus Blue Jackets.

Andrew MacDonald played nearly twenty-one minutes, second most among all defenders, and was minus-three. Travis Sanheim played 12:38 and scored both of Philly’s third period goals to tie the game. Unfortunately it was all for naught, as a defensive zone blunder between Sean Couturier and Ivan Provorov lead to Seth Jones scoring his second of the night to end the game only ten seconds into the extra frame.
