It’s not for a lack of trying, but Jakub Voracek doesn’t have a goal yet this season. He has the fifth-most shots on goal of anybody in hockey, but no goals. That’s enough to let Dave Hakstol try something new.
The Flyers top line will be different on Friday night in Buffalo, with Voracek taking a step down and Wayne Simmonds joining Claude Giroux and Matt Read on the top line. Voracek will be centered by Scott Laughton with Brayden Schenn on the other wing.
On defense, Brandon Manning is out and Radko Gudas is in. Here are full lines for both teams, via John Boruk who blocked me on Twitter so screw it he’s not getting a link.
