Another weekend, another Saturday afternoon game, this time with the Tampa Bay Lightning coming in to town for the 1pm tilt. The Bolts will be without their Vezina-caliber starting goaltender, Andrei Vasilevskiy, who is out 4-6 with a fracture so the Flyers will be testing their backup, Louis Domingue. That said, the Lightning are coming off of a wild 4-3 comeback win over the Penguins Thursday night that included an absolutely insane hat trick by Brayden Point, while the Flyers are coming off of a let down of a game that saw them shut out by the Devils and lose Brian Elliott to a yet-to-be-know injury. Way she goes, eh? We were joined by Matt Esteves of Raw Charge to preview the game, and here’s what came up:
- How the Bolts might fare without Vasilevskiy for over a month
- The Lightning’s insane forward depth
- Our old friend Danick Martel
- The Flyers terrible PK
- The battle for the Eastern Conference/
Tomorrow’s game is at 1pm, airing on NBC Sports Philly locally and you should be able to catch it on the NHL Network if you’re out of town. Go Flyers!
