BSH Radio reacts following embarrassing game 4 loss to Pittsburgh

Without Sean Couturier, the Philadelphia Flyers came out and looked utterly listless in game four of their first round Stanley Cup Playoff series against the Pittsburgh Penguins at the Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday night.

Trailing in the series 2-1, Philly needed a monumental effort without their Selke Trophy finalist at first line center, and what they put forth instead was a dud, losing to the back-to-back champs 5-0.

Dave Hakstol, who will almost certainly not be fired following this debacle of a series, now has a 3-7 career playoff record, including one win in five home games. Hak’s Flyers have been outscored 18-6 in this series. In their seven playoff losses under the former college coach, they have been outscored 30-3. That is not a typo. 30-3.

In 10 playoff games under Hakstol, the Flyers have scored more than two goals only once. They have scored more than one goal only three times. They have been shutout four times. The Philadelphia Flyers, under Dave Hakstol, are more likely to be shutout than score two goals in any given playoff game.

Oh, and they’ve been out-shot in this series 124-97. I actually can’t believe it’s that close.

Anyway, check out the BSH Radio Facebook Live postgame video. It has to be more entertaining than this series has been.
