Four in a row! Since losing ten straight between November 11th and December 2nd, the Philadelphia Flyers have now extended their string of victories to four, defeating the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-2 on Tuesday night, marking Philly’s first win at home since defeating the Chicago Blackhawks 3-1 on November 9th.
The Claude Giroux – Sean Couturier – Wayne Simmonds line combined for five points. Travis Konecny scored his fourth goal of the year, his second since October 26. And Brian Elliott made 20 saves on 22 shots to seal a hard-fought win over the Eastern Conference’s second-seeded team.
Bill is back on the BSH Facebook Live Postgame, giving his thoughts on the youth’s development, Couturier matching his career-high in goals two weeks before Christmas, and where this team goes from here. Check out the video for all immediate reactions to what is now a prolonged winning streak.
