BSH Radio reacts following 4-3 victory over New York Rangers

When the game went final, the Philadelphia Flyers had taken care of business and earned two points in regulation against an inferior New York Rangers squad on Thursday night at the Wells Fargo Center.

But once again, Philly did not play its best game, and tension is starting to build around a team fighting for seeding, not to mention its playoff hopes in general.

Travis Konecny netted two goals, although it wasn’t enough to keep him in the lineup, as he was benched in favor of Matt Read for the final 7:20 of the third period, and Alex Lyon made 33 saves to keep a hungry Rangers team from playing spoiler.

Claude Giroux added three assists to his now league-leading total (64), and hit the 90-point mark for the second time in his career, and yet the mood around the game is somewhat lackluster. With the Pittsburgh Penguins looming on Sunday to kickoff a three-game road trip (@ Pittsburgh 3/25, @ Dallas 3/27, @ Colorado 3/28), not one fan thought this effort was good enough to compete with the back-to-back Stanley Cup champion division rivals.

The BSH Radio Facebook Live postgame went overtime, breaking down what the Flyers need to keep their playoff hopes alive, as well as potentially win a round.  Bill also took a look ahead to the goaltending situation next season, and reacted to the Cooper Marody trade.
