BSH Radio reacts after a 6-2 loss to the Ducks

The goalie was bad. The power play was bad. The defense was bad. Everything was bad for the Philadelphia Flyers in a 6-2 loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night, and Bill Matz hopped on the Broad Street Hockey Facebook Live postgame show to give his thoughts on an overall disappointing effort.

The Flyers scored less than three goals for the third game in a row after averaging more than four goals per game over their first six contests of the season, and Andrew MacDonald’s veteran leadership and poise were clearly missing, as Philly was beaten to loose pucks and along the boards all night.

Settle in for a downer of a postgame, although Bill finds the silver lining in that this was the first game of the season in which the Flyers did not have a chance or play well enough to win. One downer out of every nine is a definite improvement from last season.
