PHILADELPHIA — I’m having computer issues so tonight we’ll be doing a recap by committee. If everybody thinks of one comment on tonight’s game and puts them below in the uh, comments, we’ll get a full recap of tonight’s win.
The basics, for now: Andrej Meszaros opened the scoring in the first period and had an awesome celebration to go along with it, and just two minutes into the second period, Darroll Powe scored a shorthanded goal to put the Flyers up 2-0.
Brendan Morrow scored his 23rd goal of the year midway through the second to cut the lead to 2-1, but after some tense moments over the course of the next 20, that all ended about midway through the third. Jeff Carter‘s goal gave the Flyers a two-goal lead again, which basically iced the cake and gave the team two points.
Oh, and somewhere in there, Kari Lehtonen punched Dan Carcillo in the face. He’s 0-10-1 against the Flyers in his career (thanks, Antero.)
Pick the COTN tonight, too, because my computer’s dead in 3, 2, 1….
