2019 NHL Draft Open Thread: What will the Flyers do in Round 1?

The NHL Draft is here! After weeks and months of poring over scouting reports and tape, we’re here to watch as the NHL welcomes its newest group of talented young players into the league. The first 31 picks will take place live tonight from Vancouver, and while unfortunately we know with some confidence that two of the Flyers’ biggest rivals will be bringing in potential franchise-changing players tonight (the Devils and Rangers with Jack Hughes and Kaapo Kakko, in all likelihood respectively), there are 29 more picks to come after that and a lot of potential other news and moves that could come with those picks — including the Flyers’ own at No. 11 overall.

Hopefully, you’re able to join us at our draft party tonight at Field House in Center City. It’s happening right now, so really, if you’re capable, you should close your computer and go to it. Right now. But! Not all of us can do that, so feel free to hang out in here and chat with others in the comments as we watch what unfolds tonight.

The draft begins at 8:00 p.m. ET. Enjoy!
