Dan Carcillo didn’t get a qualifying offer from the Philadelphia Flyers, and as a result, he became an unrestricted free agent this afternoon at 12 p.m. Seven hours later, he’s a member of the Chicago Blackhawks.
The team announced the news via a press release just a few minutes ago. He was suspended two games for actions during the first intermission of the Flyers’ Game 4 against Boston in the playoffs and will carry that suspension over with him to the first two games of the regular season with the Blackhawks.
Carcillo joins Sean O’Donnell, who must be cursing his luck (kidding, Dan). Have fun, Hawks fans.
