HOWEVER, there was CONTROVERSY which must be addressed.
As has been pointed out by a member of the GIF Bracket Committee, LIKE A FLOWERINA was actually born during the 2008 Eastern Conference Finals between the Flyers and the Penguins, not the 2012 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. Arguments have been heard and we have determined a course of action.
Given new evidence, LIKE A FLOWERINA is hereby DISQUALIFIED from the GIF Bracket.
We apologize for any shame this has brought upon this institution, and to rectify the situation, the losing GIF with the most number of votes has been pushed through to the next round. SWING AND A MISS will thus act as a No. 4 seed for the rest of the tournament. That leaves us with the following second-round matchups:
