Flyers vs. Panthers lineup: Coach Berube shuffles the deck

Craig Berube’s running the first morning skate of his NHL head coaching career this morning, and he’s completely switched up the Flyers lineup.

Via a number of sources in Voorhees this morning, including Bill Meltzer and Sarah Baicker, here’s a look at the lineup:

Scott HartnellClaude GirouxWayne Simmonds
Brayden SchennVincent LecavalierJakub Voracek
Maxime TalbotSean CouturierMatt Read
Jay RosehillAdam HallZac Rinaldo
Kris Newbury

And on defense:

Kimmo TimonenLuke Schenn
Braydon CoburnNicklas Grossmann
Mark StreitAndrej Meszaros
Erik Gustafsson, Hal Gill

What do you think of the new lines? Simmonds has been one guy who’s worked his ass off in the early season, but he and Vincent Lecavalier also looked very good together, so breaking them up is interesting. The results haven’t really been there despite them looking good so I guess it doesn’t particularly matter.

On defense, Erik Gustafsson remains out of the lineup, and we basically have the same defensive pairings we had a year ago except Mark Streit replaces Bruno Gervais.
