NBC Sports released their national television schedule on Monday morning, and the Flyers are on it a total of 16 times. 12 of those games are on NBC Sports Network, with three games on NBC. The Sunday, April 5 game against Pittsburgh and the Sunday, February 22 game against Washington are “flex” games, meaning they could end up on either network.
Seven of the 16 games are part of NBC’s “Wednesday Night Rivalry” series, including the season opener on October 8 against Boston. The Flyers also play Pittsburgh (twice), the Rangers, Detroit, Washington and Chicago on rivalry night throughout the year.
