Slap Shots: Flyers vs. Senators

The Philadelphia Flyers were back Saturday afternoon trying to start a new winning streak as they hosted the Ottawa Senators.

Travis Konecny opened up the scoring off a loose puck in front. Ottawa grabbed a very quick goal to tie things up, but Shayne Gostisbehere made sure it wasn’t tied for long within a goal of his own.

Then, in typical Ottawa/Philly fashion, things got chippy. Jake Voracek and Joel Farabee each dropped the gloves. After Ivan Provorov gave the Flyers a 3-2 lead in the third, Anthony Duclair scored his second of the game to tie things up again in the third. But the Flyers stayed resilient.

Eleven seconds after the tying goal, Scott Laughton buried a rebound off a Kevin Hayes shot to give the Flyers the eventual 4-3 win, finishing their home stand with a great victory. They return to action on Wednesday in Colorado.
