Twas’ the holiday season, and all through the land
Near the end of the decade, it came to stand.
The NHL season, it was near mid-way through
Third place in the Metro, thanks nonetheless to Claude Giroux.
The Flyer point count, it totaled forty-seven
Goals were ever-flowing, two on Monday scored by Kevin.
Mr. Hayes gave us goals, a career first for NAK
Travis Sanheim did too, a roaring Flyers’ attack!
Their play has been good, leaving opponents in a wreck
Their depth has assisted, a third-line Voracek!
Rookies have dressed, and the lineup been tossed:
Farabee, Myers, Twarynski and Frost!
And so it is Christmas, and on this very day
Grateful we be, for elite 1C Sean Couturier.
And for our Flyers, who hold playoff hopes
