Flyers insist that Lehtera and Weise really do give them forward depth

The Philadelphia Flyers insist that they have depth at forward. Jorald “Jori” Lethera and Dale Weise are the experienced hands guiding the USS Flyers. Fans have criticized the duo as being “slow” and “not good at their jobs”. The Flyers state that this is flat out wrong.

“Look, Joraldo (Lehtera) and Dalely (Weise) are the backbone of this team,” said coach Dave Hakstol, while trying to open an air duct in his office at the Wells Fargo Center to silently escape the press. “Jori is always five steps behind a play because he is observing. He is watching. You’d know that if any of you did that every now and then.”

Flyers General Manager Ron Hextall, already well within the air duct, took to defending Weise, “Yeah, Dale is real good. He does the, um, defense, uh, real good? Yeah, he does the defense great.” Hextall then quickly disappeared into the darkness.

The team also strongly backed the depth and leadership that Lehtera and Weise bring to the organization. Captain Claude Giroux addressed the media following an intense team practice, “Ya know Weiser (Weise), ummmm, he, uhhhh, bring that grit, that heart, that, um, uh, hustle, and those sorts of things to the club that just can’t be, uhhh, replicated. And Lehtera-er (Lehtera) brings, um, uh, the energy that, uh, you know, uh, the energy.”

Ivan Provorov gave the assembled press a heated response when asked about the value of Weise and Lehtera, “They are fine hockey players.”

Without a doubt, the Philadelphia Flyers trust and believe in their veteran leadership guiding a way to a successful season.
