Flyers vs. Capitals Game 1 highlights: Greasy PP goal gives Washington 1-0 series lead

Courtesy our friends at NBC Sports, here are both goals scored in tonight’s Flyers vs. Capitals Game 1.

First, it’s an ugly power play goal by John Carlson to out the Capitals up 1-0 in the second period. Steve Mason deserved so much better than this after stopping a metric ton of Grade A scoring chances from the Capitals both on power plays earlier in the period and throughout the game to this point.

And then late in the third, Jay Beagle roofed this one to make it 2-0 and put the game out of reach for the Flyers.

Hey, on the bright side, the Flyers lost a tight game on the road against the President’s Trophy winners. The series isn’t over. Still a lot of hockey to be played.
