Thursday Morning Fly By: Nothing happened yesterday!

*Ahh, a quiet day in Flyersland. We needed that. Chuck got us all in one over the last few days. We did, however, get the official confirmation of the Hayes deal. [Flyers]

*Since Chaz is going nuts, how about some things we’d really like him to do, but he probably won’t? [BSH]

*Hey remember Cam Talbot? You may have missed his Flyers career if you took a bathroom break during a game at some point this season. [BSH]

*Our draft profiles continue with another Cam, Cam York. [BSH]

*York is one of a few players from the USNDP that might interest the Flyers, should they hold on to their pick. [Inquirer]

*If the Flyers decide to go with a center, perhaps Ryan Suzuki deserves a long look. [BSH]

*The thing with UFAs is they almost always get overpaid, unless their one of the one, maybe two superstars that become available on July 1. So, Kevin Hayes is, arguably, being overpaid by the Flyers. His actual salary is less concerning, though, than the effect it – and Chuck’s other moves – have had on the Flyers’ once enviable cap situation. [The Athletic]

*Making things even worse is the fact that the NHL doesn’t even know what the salary cap is yet. [ProHockeyTalk]

*The Flyers aren’t the only team getting in on the big buyouts: the Ducks are parting ways with Corey Perry. [Anaheim Calling]

*And finally… new BSH Radio! The Hayes deal came out about 2 hours after we finished recording, so this episode is a fun little time capsule; a look back to a simpler time. [BSH]
